Day 3
Weather forecast for today was bad. We took competitors to race area early in te morning, but the wind stopped absoutely within a half an hour.
About half past one, storm clouds started to occure and it seemed that one more race might be sailed. AP was removed and another race vas retried.
At quarter to three, 15 min. before time limit, the race was started. But even in first round, the wind had turned over, race was abandoned and the event of European junior's shampionship has been finished.
A "dot" after the event was made by final ceremony with publishing of race results, price giving and a final reception.
I would like to thank to all realization team for all the amount of work they did for smooth going of the event. We should say a big "thank you" to YC Lipno nad Vltavou, who assisted a lot, they changed their access to water especially for us, and to restaurant's staff, who prepared for us excellent receptions.
Day 2
Today's morning welcomed us with sunshine and no wind (again).
During afternoon, it looked like "something" may come, but there still were changes of wind's directions up to 90 degrees. Today's first race was started on second try with black flag again. After two rounds the wind changed the direction and the race was abandoned.
Within two hours time, the start was retried, but even tris try was cancelled immediately.
Tonight, we are looking for grilling and party (with "Evening of nations") :-)
Day 1
Today's morning welcomed us with lovely sunshine and, unfortunately, no wind.
The wind of almost ideal direction for this water started by 12 o'clock and the chanmpionship has begun.
Even in the first race, a start line was overwhelmed by most of the racing field and a general recall had to be applied. Black flag did moralize competitors and the second try was without any problem. First race was won by crew of GER 4430 Uerlichs Ben - Thoroe Svenja.
Second race was started already on first try and GER 4380 Martens Eike - Gielen Fabian won a landslide.
Even wind faded more and more and started to change it's directions, the third race passed and was won by GER 4434 Schnepf Benjamin - Jackel Fabian.
The fourth race was started to a weak wind. Start had to be repeated again. During the third round, the wind had changed it's direction by 90 degrees and weakened even more. The race was abandoned.
